Client–Practitioner Contract

Rehab works best when both sides show up. This outlines what you can expect from Joel Dimech (warranted physiotherapist, Malta Physiotherapists Council no. 443) and what is expected of you as a client.

Practitioner commitments

Honest assessment, clear reasoning, an evidence-informed plan, and progress reviewed at every session.

Client commitments

Attend sessions on time, disclose relevant medical history and medications, communicate openly about pain and load, and engage with the home program as agreed.

Confidentiality

Everything shared during sessions stays confidential, except where disclosure is required by law.

Attendance & cancellations

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session are charged at half the session fee. No-shows may be charged in full. Communicate early where possible.

Consent to active rehabilitation

You understand that active rehab includes loading, exercise, and movement testing, and you consent to participate in these methods. Physiotherapy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or emergency care.
